Luxury Residence (Uncommon Common Space)
The Challenge:
Our client, designing a luxury residence, wanted a unique rug to create a dynamic perimeter for the common area. They chose an unusual shape from our “Odd Shaped Rugs” collection but needed assistance with measuring and translating the shape into a functional, custom-sized piece.
The Solution:
To bring their vision to life, our client crafted a full-scale construction paper mockup of their desired rug shape and mailed it to our office. Our team then took the outline to our local warehouse, where we carefully unrolled it and examined the dimensions. By creating a detailed geometric plan, we accurately calculated the measurements required for their custom rug.
The final piece was hand-tufted with 100% New Zealand wool, crafted meticulously to fit the unique space. Its dynamic shape and luxurious texture create an inviting flow, making residents and guests feel as though the rug naturally follows them wherever they gather.
The Result: A “made-to-measure” piece that brought the common area to life, adding a unique sense of movement and sophistication. The rug became a defining feature of the space, blending art and utility to enhance the overall aesthetic of the luxury residence.
